Out in the Garden Nursery, where we grow great gardens one plant at a time. We are a specialty nursery that grows all the plants we offer. We don't sell fertilizers and chemicals or pots and décor, just plants. Our home, farm, gardens, and nursery are one and the same. We love to share all our hard work and welcome your visit.

We offer plants for all seasons. We are firm believers that gardening is not all about spring. We are fortunate to live in a climate where year around gardening is possible. Our emphasis is on shade plants, especially those with interesting foliage colors and textures for multiple seasons of interest. We carry a vast array of options to enhance any shade garden. Over the years, we have expanded our offerings of sun-loving plants including a large selection of ornamental grasses and their companions, which come to full glory in the summer and fall months. Many of these plants are bee and butterfly friendly. Additionally, we have a small selection of choice shrubs for sun and shade.

We strive to give every visitor personal attention. We enjoy helping clients create appealing plant combinations. We take time to listen to your needs and help you choose the best plants for your garden. Our plant selection is constantly being refined and updated, providing a broad range of choices in many new and proven varieties. You will be surprised at our diverse selection of beautiful plants.

We have been working hard developing our display gardens. If you haven't visited in a while, you are in for a treat. The gardens have filled in and matured a lot the past couple of years. You will find many of the plants we offer growing in a garden situation, allowing you to see exactly how the plant behaves in the garden. Our gardens are available to rent for weddings, parties, and dinners.
